My favorite part of the Mac Pro is that I have six internal storage devices: it has four SATA II bays, I’ve converted one or the optical bays to another SATA SSD bay, and have ANOTHER SSD in there on a PCIe SATA III adapter. I’m pretty comfortable tinkering with and changing out components. I’m awaiting a $80 logic board replacement to hopefully get it going again, but I know even if it does fix it, it’s days are numbered.
